Alan Haworth
Alan Haworth lives in Dallas, Texas with his wife Monika. His hobbies include collecting records, mountain biking, and Red Sox baseball.
Hitchhiking in Boston is his second book. Alan wrote the stories while working in Boston, and most of them are set in the Bay State. The title story was completed while temping at a bank for a receptionist. The phone rang twice a day, giving him three weeks to write.
Stanky Groove Press published The Peterbilt Journals in 2002. The memoir captured some of the crazier moments from Haworth‛s job, driving an 18-wheeler across the United States. At 22-years old, long-haul trucker was his first paycheck out of college. The independent pressing sold out quickly and is highly collectible. He intends to publish the unabridged, 400-page version.
